Tender, tender, tread slowly, my little girl Tender, tender is your heart, little girl You are twelve going on thirteen A big new phase, a new you Your eyes are large with excitement and anticipation I wish I could meet all of them And let not even a tiny point of sadness anywhere near youI wish I had stardust to sprinkle on your dreams and newfound awareness of self To soar and reach the skies But I need to let you go In to the big bad world where everything exists in twin opposites The good with the bad, the beautiful with the ugly This tender heart of yours and even more tender emotions will be bayoneted several time sBut I will always be there, princess With you to show you are not alone ,Ahead of you, to sometimes show you the way and Always behind you, to stop the backstabbers in their tracks And to always have your back!Go on then, angel, conquer the world!
